October is National Safe Work Month and this year’s theme is “Safety is everyone’s business.”
As we kick off this important month, we want to highlight some of the significant progress Marist180 has made in our commitment to workplace safety!
We’re proud to say that over 55 of our incredible team members have completed Warden Training across our offices. This training helps us build a culture of preparedness so our trained wardens can step up during emergencies, potentially saving lives and minimising injuries.
At Marist180 we have also re-established our Incident Management Team, which plays a vital role in coordinating our responses to incidents and keeping everyone informed. With this team in action, we can manage incidents more effectively, leading to quicker recoveries and better overall safety for all.
Our newly formed WHS Committee is another exciting initiative. This group encourages open discussions about safety and invites everyone to get involved. By including all voices in these conversations, we’re strengthening our safety culture that values ownership and accountability.
To keep safety front of mind, we’re offering WHS Refresher Training every two weeks. This ensures we all stay informed and vigilant, empowering everyone to spot and address potential hazards.
As we look ahead, we’re focused on a few key goals: fostering a safety-first mindset, creating a comfortable environment for reporting hazards, continuously refining our safety protocols, and involving even more team members in our safety initiatives.
At Marist180, we’re dedicated to making safety a priority every single day, not just this month. Together, we can create a safer workplace and truly embrace the idea that “safety is everyone’s business.”
