Marist180 is committed to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander job seekers to reach their potential. We encourage and assist participants to dream, prepare, and connect to life changing employment pathways.

Marist180’s Indigenous Employment Programs are delivered by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander caseworkers who are passionate about their community and their culture. Our approach is to support job seekers to become job-ready, develop valuable skills and connect to their desired career pathway. We also connect job seekers to sustainable employment opportunities. We work with employers from a variety of industries who are seeking great people and aiming to improve their workforce diversity. We take great pride in our ability to work with, prepare, transition and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander job seekers, and our expertise in this area is highly regarded by our community and employer partners.

The national Indigenous unemployment rate is three times the rate of all Australians.

By mid–2016, Marist180 provided 303 Indigenous job seekers with pre-employment mentoring and cultural support.

By mid–2016, 280 job seekers found employment, currently averaging 13 placements per month.

The level of participation and enthusiasm from the group shows they feel comfortable and keen to be part of our company. They are in good hands and I have full confidence they’ll all complete the program.Employer of Marist180 program participants
