We are dedicated to providing homes for individuals without one, which nurture their identity and resonate with their culture, beliefs and values

Hebersham Aboriginal Youth Services (HAYS) is a specialist residential program for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who need safe accommodation. The program aims to culturally support and meet the needs of these individuals through the assistance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff members and their person-centred approach to care.

Based at the Daramu site, the HAYS environment includes a fire pit, healing garden and other traditional and spiritual features that enable the young residents to connect with their Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander identity and community. The staff members take pride in cooking delicious tucker and having a good yarn with the young residents each day. At HAYS, everyone is part of one family.
